In 2013, Hunt & Co. was invited to contribute to the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) San Francisco InsideOut exhibition and silent auction. AIGA sought the collaboration of selected local and international creatives for this project:
“Through the eyes of some of the most influential San Francisco Bay Area and international creative individuals, InsideOut SF is a curated exhibit of original posters highlighting their personal impressions of San Francisco.”
Our response was to develop a bespoke typographic system inspired by airport ‘flip board’ signage. The poster displayed the codes of each airport required to travel from Melbourne to San Francisco. The total travel time of 16 hours and 45 minutes was then overprinted vertically across the poster in striking red. A single edition print of the poster was sold at the silent auction held during the InsideOut SF Gala.
